Meet the Knitters

Each scarf on this site is tagged with the name of the knitter who created it!  Check the tag on each product to see who made it!

Linda is mother of a teenager son and daughter.  She lives with her husband (who lays tile), his younger brother and parents at the highest point of our village. When she is not working the family ground growing fruits and vegetables, she works seasonally for a local farmer in his fields.  Linda is quiet, gentle and kind, and has passed those qualities on to her daughter, Ami, who models most of Linda’s handicrafts on this site.

Arjana is the mother of a daughter (recently married) and a teenage son.  She and her husband and son live in a modest home in the heart of our village.  Arjana works a variety of odd jobs such as watching a little girl and working for the local farm business with fellow knitter, Linda.  Arjana’s daughter, Casey, models most of her products. Arjana’s grandson, Noel, is our newest model wearing some of her baby products.

Roshi has two married daughters, one grandson, and one son, Albi, in middle school. Roshi is a very hardworking woman who put herself through nursing school while raising her children. She walks several miles each day to a neighboring village where she works part time as a nurse. Because her husband is unemployed, Roshi carries the sole responsibility for her family’s financial needs.

Merita is our newest knitter.  Her husband runs a modest auto service shop at the base of our village.  Their son, Flavio, is in kindergarten.  Together they live with Merita’s in-laws, where Merita helps her mother-in-law keep house.  Though her training is as a beautician, her needlework is exquisite.   We only wish you could taste her plum juice!
